Creating predefined plate layouts

The plate layout defines the usage of wells in a plate (positive controls, negative controls, references, subjects, unused wells…). Plate layout can be created prior to experiments, or defined on the fly in the experiment view, and saved to be reused later.

Creating predefined plate layouts

To create a predefined plate layout, navigate to the Data import tab and select ContainerLayout in the list.

Click the “+” button in the toolbar.

In the form, enter a name for the layout and select the appropriate plate size.

You can now select wells in the plate view below the form and assign them the well usage of your choice in the list on the right.

Once you’re done, click the “Save” button to save the layout. It is now ready to be used in experiments.
