How to load and map clinical data

Clinical study experiment

Navigate to the “Experiments” tab of the clinical setup and create a new experiment by clicking the “+” icon in the toolbar and filling the form. Once submitted, you will be redirected to the empty experiment. 


In the details tab, fill in the “STUDYID” and “Compound headers” fields with the appropriate values and save the changes.


 

Importing data

Click the “Import” button at the right of the toolbar, add the study files to import and click “Import”. 


The imported files are then checked for integrity issues. If issues are found, they will be displayed under the “Details” tab.



Imported Domain data can be previewed under the appropriate Domain tab. At this stage, the data has not been processed by the system and cannot be filtered or sorted.


Data integrity issues

Missing compounds

Compounds listed under “Missing compounds” are not registered in the platform. 

If the compound is truly missing, it can be registered as described in the Compound Registration section. Otherwise, if there’s an error in the name of a compound, a synonym can be added for the compound as described in Adding synonyms (different names/ID’s) to Compounds.

Domain not registered

No Clinical Domain Definition could be found. Create the appropriate Clinical Domain Definition as described in the Clinical domain definition setups section to solve the issue.

Missing parameters

The Clinical Domain Definition setup is missing a parameter for a column in the file. Create the parameters as described in the Clinical domain definition setups section to solve the issue.

Processing data

If there are no data integrity issues, it is ready to be processed by the system. To trigger processing, click the “Process data” button in the toolbar and select one of the processing options. 



Processing might take a few minutes due to the large amount of data. 

To see what’s the processing status of domain, navigate to the “Admin” tab and locate it in the list.



When domains have been processed successfully, their Status under the “Admin” tab should be marked as “Succeeded”.
